DropshipDesign Review

DropshipDesign.com

DropshipDesign.com

We’ll admit that, upon first glance, we weren’t thrilled with the prospect of DropshipDesign. The site simply looks a little bit like a late-night television commercial offering dropship product miracles or Internet millions. Dropship Design’s big graphics and big promises weren’t exciting for us – again, upon first glance.

However, the more we learned about this dropshipping wholesale directory, the more we have come around. DropshipDesign offers a decent selection of dropship memberships for anyone from beginners to professionals to choose from – our DropshipDesign review showed an impressive inventory, decent pricing and relative ease of use.

Benefits of Dropship Design:

  • Product Selection: You’ll find over 1,000,000 verified dropship products in their inventory.
  • Ease of Use for Auction Sites: They are focused on those wishing to sell on eBay. You can, of course, dropship their products on other sites – such as Yahoo!, Amazon and others, but you’ll get the most out of their service if this parallels your dropshipping business plan.
  • Wholesale Pricing: For being a middleman, you’ll find that Dropship Design competes better on price than Simplx.
  • Turn-key Solution: If you want a quick free dropship website to sell products virtually overnight, DropshipDesign is a great solution for you.
  • Membership Pricing: DropshipDesign’s ongoing monthly price is a mere $67; different dropshipping wholesaler memberships come at different prices (from $49.99 setup to $199.99 setup)

Drawbacks of Dropship Design:

  • Middleman: Their pricing does seem to be competitive, but DropshipDesign is still a middleman, meaning you don’t deal directly with their dropshippers. This makes the system easy to use – you deal only with DropshipDesign when a customer places an order through you that you need to have dropshipped to them. The drawbacks, however, are:
    • Margin Opportunities: Again, this doesn’t mean there’s no room for profit with Dropship Design, but you’ll have to be diligent about your product research. Their dropshipping customers seem to have been successful in the past with their products.
    • Lack of Business Relationships: To some, this may be a drawback; to others, it may not be. Some dropshippers want to deal directly with the companies who are dropshipping products to their customers. They want to know who to call when something goes wrong and they want that company’s contact to remain in their Rolodex.

Customer Service: While some reviewers and customers give DropshipDesign a clean bill of health when it comes to customer service, others report having had problems with the company. We have had no issues ourselves with them directly, but have some concerns because, as a middleman, DropshipDesign deals with many customer service issues.

  • Usability: Some web users don’t care about matters of web usability, but come on..the site could really use some help.

Dropship Design: The Bottom Line:

Despite our initial skepticism about DropshipDesign, we’ve come around to view DropshipDesign as a good qualtiy alternative for those wanting to begin eBay dropshipping or turn-key eCommerce dropshipping business.
